Prior to or after experiencing an emergency, students may require varying levels of assistance. If you or someone you know requires assistance, the following Duke resources are available:
Crisis Support Services:
- Duke Reach – Duke Reach is a case management service that can provide connections with other resources to help with navigating difficult circumstances.
- CAPS – Counseling and Psychological Services can provide post-emergency crisis counseling and referrals to long-term counseling if needed.
Student Services:
- Student Affairs – Student Affairs staff (including academic deans) can assist with talking with professors to provide learning accommodations during recovery.
- Housing and Residence Life – Housing and Residence Life can assist with dorm relocation if needed prior to or following an emergency.
