Resources for Students

Prior to or after experiencing an emergency, students may require varying levels of assistance. If you or someone you know requires assistance, the following Duke resources are available:

Crisis Support Services:

• Duke Reach – Duke Reach is a case management service that can provide connections with other resources to help with navigating difficult circumstances.
• CAPS – Counseling and Psychological Services can provide post-emergency crisis counseling and referrals to long-term counseling if needed.

Student Services:

• Student Affairs – Student Affairs staff (including academic deans) can assist with talking with professors to provide learning accommodations during recovery.
• Housing and Residence Life – Housing and Residence Life can assist with dorm relocation if needed prior to or following an emergency.
